Barleys was born out of a desire to deliver all-vegan, no-fuss food in a casual environment without compromise on flavour. We opened the doors in August 2020 as Hull’s first vegan deli with just three signature sandwiches and a few bakes on the menu...

A whirlwind reception meant we were soon open 7 days a week with a larger offering, changing lunch specials and soon enough we began developing our own recipes for quality vegan meat replacements to use in our sandwiches. Fast forward four years and we've opened a second location, collaborated menus and pop ups with local businesses, increased our seating five-fold, coordinated a couple of mini refurbs, grown to a team of five, catered a few weddings and hosted multiple Supper Clubs!
